Settings Tab

The Settings tab in the Account Window holds every setting for that account, split into tabs by topic. This page explains how the tabs are organised, how saving works, and how to change settings for many accounts or a template at once. Each settings tab has its own guide page, linked below.

Saving your changes #

Changes take effect as soon as you make them, but they are only written to disk when you click Save on the top bar (or press F10). If you close Lords Bot without saving, the account goes back to its last saved settings.

Save also saves the account’s Guild Bank and Manage Guild settings. To save many accounts at once, use the main window’s Functions menu.

The settings tabs #

The tabs appear in this order. To show them on several rows instead of one, turn on Multiline Tabs in Other Settings (see Ribbon Bar).

Which tool to use #

To change settings on more than one account, the main window has three tools:

Tool	What it does	When it takes effect
Quick Settings	Turns one feature, such as building or gathering, on or off.	Straight away, on the ticked accounts.
Global Settings	Copies whole settings pages onto accounts.	Straight away, on the ticked accounts.
Templates	Saves settings to reuse later. The default.json template sets the starting settings for new accounts.	When you apply a template, or when a new account is added.

Global Settings #

To change settings on several accounts at once, tick them in the main window’s account grid and click Global Settings on the ribbon. The Global Settings window has the same settings tabs, except Guild Bank and Manage Guild, which only exist in each account’s own window.

Set the options you want, then:

• Save All Settings overwrites all settings on the ticked accounts with what is in the window. You are asked to confirm.
• Save Selected Settings applies only the tabs you tick in the Selected Settings list. The accounts keep everything else.
• Default Settings resets the Global Settings window back to the default values. It doesn’t change any account until you save.

Editing a template #

Templates are saved settings you can apply to other accounts. Make one from an account with Functions > Create Template (see Functions Menu (Account Window)).

To change a template later, click Templates > Template Editor on the main window’s ribbon. The editor uses the same settings tabs. Pick the template from the list, make your changes, and click Save Template. With Specific Settings Only? ticked, choose which tabs the template applies; the rest of an account’s settings are left alone.
