Move Lords Bot to a New PC

To move Lords Bot to another PC, install it fresh on the new PC, copy your accounts and settings across from the old install folder, and sign in with the same Lords Bot login. Your game accounts, bot settings and logs are stored on your PC, not on our servers, so copying the files is what moves them.

Before you start #

• Use the same Lords Bot login. Each account’s settings are locked to the Lords Bot login that saved them. If you sign in with a different login on the new PC, the accounts appear with default settings and no proxy.
• Trials stay on their PC. A trial login can only be used on the PC it was registered on. If you need to move a trial, ask staff on Discord.
• Find your old install folder. By default it is %LocalAppData%\Lords Bot. Type that into the File Explorer address bar to open it.

Move everything #

1. On the new PC, install Lords Bot with LordsBotSetup. See Install Lords Bot. Close Lords Bot when it opens.
2. On the old PC, stop your accounts, then close Lords Bot and Lords Monitor.
3. Copy your data from the old install folder into the new install folder. Replace the files there if asked. The full list of items to copy is in What to back up. The most important is the config folder, which holds your game accounts and their settings. Don’t copy the program files; the new install already has the latest ones.
4. Start Lords Bot on the new PC and sign in with the same Lords Bot login.

If sign-in says You are already logged in, the old PC is still signed in. Make sure Lords Bot is closed there, wait about a minute, and try again.

Tip: Don’t run Lords Bot on both PCs. Only one PC can be signed in to a login at a time, and running the same game accounts from two places makes them disconnect each other.

Move only some accounts #

1. On the old PC, tick the accounts on the grid and choose Functions > Export Accounts. Pick an empty folder. Each account is saved in its own folder, named after its IGG ID.
2. Copy those account folders into the config folder of the new install.
3. On the new PC, click Refresh Grid at the top of the main window. The accounts appear on the grid.

This only works when the new PC is signed in to the same Lords Bot login.

Note: Account files saved by very old versions of Lords Bot can’t be loaded any more. Lords Bot lists any it skips when it starts. Add those accounts again, by signing in with the IGG account or with its access key (see Adding Accounts).

Moving accounts to a different Lords Bot login #

Account settings can’t be moved to a different Lords Bot login. If you copy account folders to an install signed in with another login, Lords Bot lists the accounts it couldn’t read and runs them with default settings and no proxy. The original files are kept in each account’s folder. Check each account’s settings and proxy before you start it.
