No, Google drive, one drive, etc are not supported. they can result in either application files failing to sync and going missing, or the application failing to write to files and breaking.
Backup applications which use volume shadow copy can get around this issue. Applications such as Duplicati (https://www.duplicati.com/) can be set to backup to google drive or dropbox using the snapshot Volume Shadow Copy option.
