Is My Data Backed Up?

No, not by us. Your game accounts, bot settings and logs are stored on your PC, not on our servers. If you lose the PC or its files, we can’t restore them, so keep your own backup.

Don’t install in a cloud sync folder #

Don’t install Lords Bot inside a folder that OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or a similar app keeps in sync. Sync apps can lock files while the bot writes to them, or put back older copies. This can break the bot or lose settings.

The default install folder, %LocalAppData%\Lords Bot, is not synced. Keep it there unless you have a reason to move it. See Install Lords Bot.

What to back up #

Everything is in your install folder (by default %LocalAppData%\Lords Bot). These items are your own data. This is also the list the uninstaller keeps when you choose to keep your accounts and settings.

Close Lords Bot and Lords Monitor before you copy these items. You don’t need the program files; a new install already has the latest ones.

Back up from inside the bot #

Functions > Export Accounts in the main window copies the settings files of the ticked accounts into a folder you choose. See Functions Menu.

Note: Account files are locked to your Lords Bot login. A backup only works in a bot signed in with the same Lords Bot login.

Automatic backups #

If you want automatic backups to the cloud, use a backup app that can copy open files with Windows “Volume Shadow Copy” (VSS), such as Duplicati (https://www.duplicati.com/). It can save backups to Google Drive, Dropbox and others without syncing the install folder itself.
