An Account Isn't Doing Something

A checklist for when a game account runs but skips a task: status, settings, requirements, resources, schedule and the account log.

Updated 8 Oct 2026

If a game account is running but doesn’t do a task you expect, work through this checklist in order. Most of the time the setting is off, not saved, or the account doesn’t meet a requirement yet.

1. Is the account online?

Look at the Status column on the account grid. The account only plays while it shows Online.

  • Offline: the account is stopped. Tick it and click Start.
  • Connecting: it is still signing in or reconnecting. Wait a minute.
  • Schedule: its schedule says it should rest now. See step 5.

The Action column shows what the bot is doing on the account right now.

2. Is the feature switched on for this account?

Every game account has its own settings. Turning an option on for one account doesn’t turn it on for the others.

  1. Double-click the account on the grid to open its Account Window.
  2. Open the Settings tab and find the option. Many features have a master switch, and nothing in that group works while it is off.
  3. Click Save on the top bar (or press F10). Changes work straight away, but without Save the account goes back to its old settings when Lords Bot restarts. See Saving your changes.

If you set up many accounts at once with Global Settings or a template, open one of those accounts and check that the option really arrived. Save Selected Settings only copies the pages you ticked. See Global Settings.

3. Does the account meet the requirements?

Many options only work from a certain castle level or campaign chapter, or need a guild. The settings pages say so next to the option, for example Kingdom Tycoon in General Settings needs castle level 12 and the final campaign chapter.

Compare with the Castle Level and Chapter columns on the grid. Chapter is hidden by default; right-click a column header and open the column chooser to show it.

4. Does the account have what the task needs?

The bot doesn’t spend things you haven’t allowed:

  • Resources: when the castle runs short, the bot only uses resource items from the bag if Use RSS From Bag is on in General Settings.
  • Gems: nothing is bought with gems unless Use Gems is on in Gems and Guild Coins.
  • Guild coins: nothing is bought with guild coins unless Use Guild Coins is on in Gems and Guild Coins. Reserve Guild Coins also stops spending below the amount you set.
  • Speed-ups: speed-up items are only used when Use Speed-ups is on in General Settings.

5. Is the account resting?

  • If Schedule Settings is on, the account goes offline at the times you set. While it rests, the grid shows Schedule.
  • During game maintenance the bot stays offline while Allow Maintenance Watcher is on (main window: Settings > Options; see Ribbon Bar).

6. Read the account log

The log shows what the bot did on the account, and why it skipped something.

  1. Double-click the account on the grid to open its Account Window.
  2. Open the Log tab.
  3. Look for lines about the feature you expect, and for warnings or errors near them. They often say what is missing, such as resources, an item or a requirement.

Useful options:

  • Debug on the Log tab shows extra detail for that account. Turn it on when staff ask for a debug log. It switches off again when you restart Lords Bot.
  • Don’t Clear Log Output in General Settings keeps the log when the account reconnects.
  • Save Log to File in General Settings also writes the log to a file, so you can send it to staff.

See Log tab for more.

Still stuck?

Ask on Discord. Say which account, which setting, and paste the log lines from around the time it should have run.
